We really are building a house... look and see...

Well it has been some time since I have been able to update the blog, between endless traveling with work, Nick continuously working on the project and trying to stay healthy; we have not been current with the blog. HOWEVER... lots is going on.

This is what happened before the concrete slab was poured...

Setting up zone valves and tubing for in floor heating system.

Since I Have Been Gone PART 3

Gravel has been dumped into the floor base which will help create a solid foundation and allow the boys to prep for the in floor heating system.

The water & sewer disposal pipe has been installed; all part of the slab prep.

Now that Ridg and I have been able to inspect the progress we should see a lot more changes in the near future.

Since I Have Been Gone PART 2

After the footers were set the stem walls were set up and poured.

Then the foundation are back filled and the floor is compressed .

Since I Have Been Gone!

Check out the latest! Since I have been designated the blogger in the family, there have been no new posts since I was away. YES... away, on vacation, Johanna actually got a vacation. That will be another post however.

So since I have been gone, Nick, Eric and Ridg put in the footers and poured concrete.

Continuation of setting footers... - Day 13

Notice Ridg's new hair cut...short and sleek.

Footers are Being Set - Day 12

We are so fortunate to have our friend Eric helping us with our project. Nick and Eric have been very busy the past two days working on our footers.

This is one of the most important phases of the project... setting a good foundation. Building a solid base is essential for growth and sustainability. Sounds like I am at work... always preaching about the importance of a good foundation.

The days have been hot and long. Ridg has been taking it easy but is still looking over the project.

The celebration continues, our dearest friend MonkE brought  a bottle of champagne over to toast the first FULL day of work for Nick and Eric. I have a feeling we will be celebrating every little milestone with this bunch. Bill, Peter, and of course Chili (MonkE's dog) joined us.
